Celebrating World Card Making Day....

People give each other cards to celebrate birthdays, weddings, achievements and more, as well as to commiserate or support. But how much does your sentiment mean, if it’s simply bought from a retail chain with little thought? Take some time this Card Making Day and create something heartfelt from scratch, and show the recipient that you’ve really thought about them.

Celebrate World Card Making Day by creating some hand stamped cards and sending them off to friends, family and loved ones.....

I had an event planned to celebrate tomorrow, Saturday, 10/1/16 but due to lack of interest, I have cancelled the event..... :-(

But...you can still celebrate...just by sending out cards...I tend to hoard mine....and I'm not really sure why.....but let's let them go...send them out....brighten someone's day by them receiving a hand created and hand written card....it means so much!

I have been told that receiving a card in the mail, whether it be hand made or store bought (EEK)...is like sending a hug....with a fold in the middle.....

Let's hug everyone not just on this special day....but each and every day....nothing brightens someone's day....like someone receiving a card from you and them knowing you are thinking about them!

Don't forget to check out my online store (link on the side)...there are some limited time specials celebrating World Card Making Day...and I will be popping in and out of Facebook tomorrow sharing with you my card creations!

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

Borderline Buddies Project Life Challenge

Un

Welcome to another week of Borderline Buddies

This week it was my turn to chose a challenge.....so I thought about it...for a few hours...and came up with Project Life.

With so many wonderful products in the Stampin' Up! Catalogs, Project Life seems to always get the back seat....although I keep moving it up towards the front seat and I enjoy creating with it, but it always seems to be the "put off" portion of Stampin' Up!.

If you are not aware of  what Project Life is....well, in a nut shell...it's a create way to preserve your photos and your memories....in less time than normal scrapbooking would be....

But.....

It's just not about scrapbooking or memory keeping....it's more than that....you can create some really fun cards, 3D items and pretty much anything else you can do with SIP (stamps, ink and paper) you can do with Project Life....so....back to why you are here.....our weekly challenge.

Let's take a look and see what Leanna has to share this week:

Now....next in line...me!  :-)

The Project Life Kit I chose to share with you today is the Good Vibes Project Life Accessory Pack Item # 142684.  There is also a Good Vibes Project Life Card Collection Item # 141666 that also goes along with the Accessory Pack.

I saw this card on Pinterest and thought..hmmm..that's easy enough...even for a beginner...so thus, I created this to show you how easy you can create a quick but stunning card.  I used an overlay (which I had to trim down a bit to fit the front of the base card).  I used Flirty Flamingo as my base color card.  The overlay was simply glued to the front of the base card and I used the sequins included in the Accessory Pack glued on with Tombo glue.  Easy...peasy...right?

I love this card!

The accessory pack includes an exclusive stamp set of 10 stamps, 4 copper foil specialty cards, 3x4, 2 laser cut specialty cards (which on is used here), 3 alphabet sticker sheets, 1 element sticker sheet, 1 acetate sticker sheet, 10 acetate specialty cards 2x2, 10 double sided specialty cards 2x2, 9 epoxy stickers, 105 sequins, 6 triangular paper clips, 1 roll of washi tape 5 yards.

The colors used in this PL kit include Basic Grey, copper, Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaroon, Night of Navy, Peekaboo Peach and white.

I hope you enjoyed this sharing challenge....it's a lot of fun....order a PL kit and accessory pack and let your PL adventure begin!

Eyeballs & Pumpkins.....a great treat? :-)

Ready for some pumpkins and eyeballs?  lol

I found these crazy chocolate eyeballs and some Dove pumpkins in a local store...and figured....wow...I need these.....

It's funny...I find myself looking at candy and other things all related to stamping.  When I saw them...I thought of our Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper Item # 142022.

The base cardstock is either Pumpkin Pie or Basic Grey (I used two colors).

The DSP is actually the layered piece on top....with the houses...

The "31" was a leftover from last year's Witches Hat kit...I never seem to want to throw away anything....and I always find a use for it....do you do that too?

I put the treats in our new 2x8 cellophane bags Item #141703

They are SUper cute...and SUper simple to create!

Have a SUper stampin day!

Bone Appetit---A Tasty Treat....

Do you need a quick treat to create for Halloween (or any other reason)...or just because?

This is a super fun and super easy treat to create.

I purchased these chocolates at a local grocery store (which by the way they were on sale).

First, I put the chocolate in a 6x8 cellophane bag Item # 102210.  I used the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper Item # 142022.  I cut a strip of paper and then just folded over the paper to show off the other side...that's the best part of Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Paper...it's two sided!

I also used the Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon Item # 141427 and tied a bow.

To create the tag, I punched a scallow oval out of the Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper Item #142029.
I stamped the saying from Mr. Funny Bones stamp set Item #142245
using Memento Black ink Item # 132708

I hope you enjoyed today project.  It's really simple and easy to create these to give out to coworkers, trick or treaters, neighbors, friends, etc.

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

A Peep Ghost....who would have thought?

I'm still on the Halloween Treats.....can you tell?  (shhhh..I've even got more)...lol

So...Peeps....when I was a child...we only had Peeps at Easter time...now...there is everything Peeps...even ghosts!

Who would have thought?  lol

So I felt my Peep Ghosts needed a little sprucing up....so I used the Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper Item # 142022 on page 51 of the Holiday Catalog.

The reason this DSP is a specialty paper is that there are two sheets with a silver foil to them....this being one...the other being dots.....with a silver foil....the picture doesn't do it justice.

All I did was take a piece and wrapped it around. I then created a tag using the Mr. Funny Bones stamp set Item # 142245 and a scrap of DSP from the same paper pack.

I love this little stamp.....just perfect for this treat.

I hope this inspires you to look at Halloween candy totally different...and just by putting a sleeve of DSP really makes it extra special!

Hope you have a SUper stampin' day!

Trick or Treat....I took the Treats! T hee!

As I am writing this blog post (as I usually do them ahead of time and then schedule them to be posted for the day/time I wish...I've been snacking...yes...I know...that's not a good thing to do when you are working on something and not really paying attention to what you are also doing...like...hey....who ate all of those......ummmm..nevermind....

So it's a good thing I took pictures of these last evening...because there are only a few remaining in the jar...lol

I had all intentions on posting my blog posts for the week last evening...but I'm having some issues with my internet/router.....what a pain!  We are so use to having everything working and at our fingertips....but I suppose.....we are spoiled....As I am currently attemping to download a video, do this blog post and watching Amazon Prime....lol...I don't think my router can take it all!  Needless to say, I have a new router ordered and en route as I type...and I cannot wait!

So....back to where I was going.....

Here's a fun bottle I picked up in the Dollar Spot at Target (which isn't all $1 anymore)...but I thought it was cute and it needed something good to fill it with....along with a cute tag...well...it was filled anyhow...until my snacking took over...

The bottle already came with the plastic straw along with the preprinted bottle.

I used Mr. Funny Bones stamp set which is a set of 29 stamps Item # 142245 on page 54 of the Holiday Catalog.

I also used a strip of the Halloween Night Specialty DSP  Item # 142022

Hope you enjoyed this fun treat!

Have a super stampin' day!

It's a Halloween Borderline Buddies Challenge.....

Happy Borderline Buddies

Well we are back to our regularly scheduled postings....

I hope you enjoyed our little video shares from last week. I feel badly that Leanna had some issues posting her video....she is fairly new to this....and I feel she did an excellent job...I love seeing other stampers places....and see where and how they create.  We are all so different...in our creative minds....and I loved it...maybe there will be more to come for Leanna?  :-)

So this week...Leanna came up with the challenge....our theme is Halloween.

I was super excited to create something to share for this week's challenge.

But first, let's take a look at what Leanna has to share this week...hopefully something different than mine....:-)  I don't know if you have noticed but it seems like great minds think alike...and we have been creating almost the same things....but I think this week has got to be different, right?  Let's see what Leanna has to share.....

http://stampingwithleanna.com/

Now...It's my turn.
When Leanna had mentioned about creating something Halloweenish...I was super excited.  In my area, it seems like Halloween is in full swing here in PA.  Actually not only is there Halloween in the stores, there is Thanksgiving...and even Christmas...lol

But, here I am to share...what I have created for my Halloween challenge

I thought I would go with a Halloween treat idea....

I was shopping in Target and I could not believe all the Halloween decorations and candies...OMG...It's like decorations for Christmas....so much cool and fun decorations....not to mention candy.....

I'm not sure how these taste, but M & M's and Candy Corn....hmmmm.

I was most attracted to the colors on the packaging...I find that sometimes the packaging is more stand out than the what's inside....

I put the candy into one of our cello bags...and then...of course, Cookie Cutter Halloween ((item 142252 Wood) and Item number 142255 Clear) stamp set....and a bit of Halloween Night Specialty DSP (item # 142022)

I hope you enjoyed our sharing today.....

Have a super stampin' day!

Holly Jolly Friends....

Holly Jolly Friends....

I feel like all I've been doing lately is Christmas....but it's so much fun all
the new products from the Holiday Catalog.

The stamp set used to create these samples was Jolly Friends and also used was the coordinating punch Jolly Hat Builder Punch along with the Candy Cane Lane DSP and Candy Cane Lane Designer Washi Tape.

I have a bit of a funny story to share.....when I sat down last week to create some projects using this bundle, I pulled out my stamp set and was so excited to create and punch....however, the punch was missing.....well I looked everywhere in my stamp room where it would be; however, it wasn't in any of those places.....I looked through all my drawers and every other place where it shouldn't be....but wasn't able to find them there either.

Well the only answer was to ...... clean.....yes...move my desk....and voila!  There it was!  A little late....as to create the cards that night, I had to fussy cut out the hat...and images....a bit therapeutic I find...fussy cutting....but now my stamp set and punch have been reunited!  YIPPEE!

So be sure, if you are going to order, order the above as a bundle....and you will save 10%!
