Time for some creativity.....

Thanks for stopping by my blog today....It's the weekend...and also the Halloween Weekend....

It seems like  Halloween is just as popular for decorating as Christmas is these days.

The other day I was shopping in Target and I could not believe all the decorations they have out for Halloween....some really cool stuff too.....

So are you dressing up for Halloween?  If so, what are you going to be?  Comment below..I'd love to hear your ideas...there are so many creative people out there...

When my children were little I used to sew their costumes...I remember being a child and excited to head to McCroy's and purchase those costumes in the boxes...the ones that were so flammable...and those plastic masks with that elastic band on the back....that no only you couldn't breathe...you couldn't see either...lol

I remember, back in the day (guess I'm showing  my age)...we use to head to the "beer gardens" that's what they called bars in my day...and the guys around the bar would give out $1's like nothing..heck...they had a few beers to drink...lol

Now a days, it's so different.....such a shame what its become...anyhow...back to the creative part...

If you find yourself creative but not dressing up for Halloween...put those talents to creating something fun with paper crafts....

Here's a fun idea to get you started.....Using the DSP that is on sale now and creating this fun wreath...just with paper and a chipboard circle.....

If you are interested, I am hosting a class in person or to go to create this fun 12" Candy Cane Lane Christmas Wreath...perfect for hanging anywhere to decorate your home or office...

All supplies are included along with an instruction sheet....you can chose to come and stamp with me with the a.m. or p.m. session on Saturday, 11/12/16 or take your class to go and complete it at home...all supplies included...except stamped designs...but stamp them and go....and assemble from home...it's your choice!  It's a lot of fun...  Sign up today by going to my online store and registering under Events...and I'll have your kit all ready for you!

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

A Marking We Will Go....A Marking We Will Go.....

Yippee...Ya Hoo!  Are you with me?  Are you doing the Happy Friday Dance?

Well, I sure am....I don't know about you but this has been a long week...and a cold week too....okay...we'll say...chilly.....

Today, I thought I would focus on our Stampin' Write Markers......

Stampin’ Write Markers are one of the must-have supplies in my stampin' space, and I want to show you three ways to use them to color images.  Since they come in EVERY Stampin’ Up! color, they coordinate with all the card stock, inks, and embellishments you use on your cardmaking and paper crafting projects.

1.  Direct to card stock:  When you want a very saturated color for an image, apply the Marker color direct to card stock.

2.  Apply with Blender Pen:  This is probably the coloring technique I use most often.  The effect is subtler than with the direct-to-card stock method, and you have more leeway to shade and blend the colors.

To use Markers with a Blender Pen, use something plastic as a palette to put the color on.  Then pick up some of the ink with the Blender Pen.

3.  Ink a single stamp with several colors:  You’ll love the effect you get when you ink different parts of a stamp with different colors–especially when coloring flowers.

To color the stamp, use the side of the brush end of the Marker to apply the ink to the rubber.  This will help keep the brush tip from breaking down.

You may be thinking, if I have ink pads, why do I need the Markers, too?  Although you can pick up color with a Blender Pen from the edge of an ink pad, the other two techniques are things you can’t do with a pad.  In addition, wouldn’t you like to sign your handmade card and address the envelope in a color that matches the rest of your project?  It just makes for a classier presentation than using any old ball-point pen!

In fact, when I’m helping a new stamper figure out what to order to get started, I often suggest investing in a collection of Markers instead of a collection of ink pads, which cost significantly more money.  Along with a pad of Black StazOn, a new stamper will be able to maximize his or her stamping dollars and still do most things that ink pads do.

Many Marvelous Markers
Many Marvelous Markers 131264
Price: $110.00
All 38 colors in our color collections (except Whisper White and Very Vanilla) in one sturdy case. Plus there's extra space for In Color markers.

* Dual tipped markers: 0.5 mm fine point and flexible brush
* Set of 38, packaged in rigid plastic case with handle
* Includes colors from all 4 color collections (does not include Whisper White or Very Vanilla)
* Odorless, water-based dye ink
* Coordinate with Classic Stampin’ Pads and exclusive Stampin’ Up! cardstock

A great way to purchase the markers is considering joining my  Marker Club....Four stampers are needed to participate....and you each take a turn hosting the club....so you'll also get host benefits too...contact me today if you need more information on this....it's a lot of fun....and a great way to affordably get an entire case of markers plus coordinating cardstock and accessories as well!

The Markers are best stored on their side so that the tips won’t dry out, and the case makes this easy while the chart shows you where to find a particular color.  It’s so much easier than pawing through a box of loose Markers!

I hope you enjoy experimenting with these three ways to use Stampin’ Write Markers, and find them to be a must-have tool in your craft room.

A crafting we will go....a crafting we will go.....

Hello and Happy Tuesday
(hey, it's better than Monday, right) ..... lol

Sorry for my absence....but as many of you know, I was very busy this past weekend...

I was involved in my very first craft show for the holiday season (hopefully not my last)

Saturday was time for finishing up projects (like my bone pens I ordered a month ago...and took a whole month to get here from China)....and getting everything together, which is a lot of work...I was a bit rusty....lol

I had thought that my daughter, Michelle was going to be joining me on this adventure on Sunday, but I got the call early Sunday morning...she was heading to the ER...with severe pain and nausea and all that goes with that.....I was so worried about her...and didn't even care if I made the show or not...but it ended up kidney stones for her....the hospital gave her meds and a steroid along with all the other fun things you go home with from the hospital to check if you pass the stone (anyone that has gone through kidney stones before knows exactly what I mean)....I wanted to head right to the hospital (which is an hour away) but what a trooper...she said, the show must go on!  So, it did!  Although don't tell her, but my heart wasn't in it...after hearing about her being ill.

Let me show you some of the pictures I took of my table...and I have to say...it took me forever to move things around, here, there, back here and back to there....I don't know...guess I just couldn't seem to focus.....actually the very sweet Mary Kay rep next to me said (when I finally sat down)...do you think you have it right yet?   hmmmm....was I that bad?  lol

Anyhow...onward to the pictures

I did take a picture of my whole table...but I guess that didn't load up....

I had a variety of items...from  Halloween, to fall...to Christmas...a bit of a mish-mash!  lol

Oh yes....I even had bones for the fur babies....woof!

These ornaments are super cute...picture doesn't show up well...but if you are a paper hoarder...yes, I confess....I AM A PAPER HOARDER! but this is a great way to use up some of those fabulous DSP papers you have been saving...or....even better yet....did you know we are having a sale on our Designer Series Paper?  Yup!

Buy 3....get 1 FREE!
You know the saying...if it's FREE, it's for me!  Woo Hoo!

Well, then..I still have a lot of goodies remaining...so if you are in the market for some last minute Halloween goodies, pens, pencils, and lots of other fun stuff, drop me a line if you are local and come on by and do some shopping....I'd love for you to share them with your favorite trick-or-treaters!

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

Borderline Buddies Wednesday

Welcome to another week of Borderline Buddies Wednesday
I am having so much fun creating with our Designer Series Paper and with the current sale currently, now is the best time to purchase our DSP as when you Buy Three, you will Get One Free!  Woo Hoo!
So when Leanna asked what we should challenge each other with this week.....DSP.....was certainly on my mind....and why not something other than a card....
as you can use DSP for just about any crafts you would like.
Let's take a look at what Leanna has to share this week....
Now....here's what I came up with.....(I gave a sneak peek on my Facebook Page this weekend)

These cute little clear boxes are just the perfect size for a little treat.

The boxes come together very easily with no glue required.  Be sure to remove the protective covering off before assembling.....not like me who thought they were defective....lol

I cut a strip of Candy Cane Lane DSP (Item # 141981) about 1 1/2 inches wide x 12 inches long...or you can trim it if you like.  I also used the coordinating Real Red Stitched Edge Ribbon (Item # 141984) and also cut out the house on the DSP and created a tag.  The Love is Sweet is from the Ready to Pop Item #141513 DSP punched out with a circle punch along with a Red Glimmer Paper circle underneath....adhered with Dimensionals.

This is one of the products I will be selling at an upcoming craft show which I am participating in Sunday.  .I have had so much fun creating these cute little treats...here are the boxes I used...be sure to stock up on them...as I'm sure they will sell out quickly the closer we get to the holidays.

Cut Out Halloween Wreath Kit

Happy Monday

Hope you had a nice weekend...It was absolutely beautiful here in Northeast PA.   The chill of fall is in the air and the sun shined beautifully......and what did I do?

I was inside some of the time being creative.....I'm a part of my very first craft show on Sunday and am busily preparing lots of great items to sell.....

Here is one of them......

This idea was an idea I received from a very talented demonstrator, Erica Cerwin....she had a Christmas one....but I figured I could convert it into a Halloween wreath....it's super fun to create and not that hard either.  I created this wreath using the Halloween Night Specialty Paper...which not to forget....our Designer Series Paper is on sale this month.

Purchase 3 of the paper packs and receive one FREE!  It's a great time to stock up on the really fun double sided papers!

Here's a close up of the Halloween cut outs created by using the Halloween Cut Out Stamp set along with a coordinating punch.  I also used the Home Sweet Home thinlits that created the houses.

The bow was easily created using the thin burlap ribbon along with retired ribbon
from the Clearance Rack.

Here is a side view of the wreath...which is perfect for the front door as it is very thin...but I would not recommend putting it where the weather would hit it, as it is paper.

Be sure to check back as I am going to share a Christmas version, which if you would be interested in creating one of your very own, I am hosting a Christmas Wreath Class in person or ask about a To Go Wreath Kit.....where you will be supplied with a video and instructions to complete your wreath at home.  All supplies will be precut and ready for you to stamp and assemble.
