Borderline Buddies Christmas

It's Time for another Borderline Buddies Day...

I cannot believe how quick these days are going it was just Wednesday....wasn't it?

So Leanna wondered what we should create this week.....of course.....Christmas!

Let's see what Leanna has to share this week.

Now.... me, still being in the pink/grey scheme....outside of the traditional colors...

I used the Tin of Tags stamp set using the colors Blushing Bride and Basic Grey

A few circles....along with some Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper.

The white background paper I used was Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper Item #142014 but I used it on the debossed side....and worked out fine stamping on it...something that I didn't think would...would probably have more issues stamping on the embossed side...

I hope you have enjoyed my card today!

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

Tin of Tags, Washi Tape and Cookie Cutter Christmas

It's been super busy here....I had a nice long Thanksgiving weekend....and it's back to work for me!  Boo!  I had so much fun over this holiday weekend.....seems like Thanksgiving was so long ago!
I spent a lot of my time preparing for the upcoming Christmas Holiday
along with my annual Cookie Exchange..... I'm still trying to chose a cookie that I'm going to create...any ideas?  Anyone?  lol
So, I'm in the Christmas mood and Christmas spirit?  How about you?
Have you created your cards yet?  Decided which cookies you will be baking?
How about shopping?  I'm hoping you took advantage of our online sale this past week...what a great way to get some great products at a discount for your crafty friends.
I thought I would do some crafting "outside of the box".... outside of the traditional colors.
I thought this was a fun card....I used the Tin of Tags Stamp Set Item # 142180 ...along with the Washi Tape, Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape Item # 141659
I made a background using the Washi Tape...

A little bit of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper...

And a little Cookie Cutter Christmas.

I hope you enjoyed this fun card...I had so much fun creating it!

Sneak Peek - Sale-A-Bration - Hey, Chick!

Thanks for stopping by today....with this busy weekend in the states....there is always time for some stamping fun....dontcha think (and shopping)....our sale continues through Monday with some additional Bonus Sales for Monday be sure to check them out!
One of the benefits of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is being able to preorder stamps from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs.
This stamp set, Hey, a set of 7 rubber stamps....and I am so loving it...
I was asked to be in a swap for new stamps from the Occasions Catalog along with the Sale-A-Bration Catalog....and Hey, Chick is one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration sets you can receive for free during Sale-A-Bration which runs this time from 1/4/17 through 3/31/17.
This is a really cute stamp set and includes three chickens, a legged egg along with three sayings....Hey, Chick...being one of them.
I stamped the chicken on Shimmer White Cardstock and stamped with Staz On ink...and colored in using aquapainters and our ink.  I also added some of the smaller parts of the stamp using markers.

I also used the Serene Scenery DSP paper stack.

The circles were used using a new product, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies—set of 12 dies which includes four circles, ovals, and squares.  This was a special item that was on sale for a limited time, but no will be returning when the new annual catalog is released...I love it!  and love the stitching it leaves behind.....
I have more sneak peeks to be sure to stop by again...really soon!

Happy Friday....The Biggest Shopping Day Ever
 Hello  .... Happy Black Friday!
This is the biggest shopping day of the year here in the US... The day after Thanksgiving...that's when people get into the shopping mode for Christmas.  I am already into the decorating mode...I usually start my decorating today.....but we had some snow in our area on Saturday/Sunday and I have to say that got me into the mood for my home is usually decorated each and every room....and it makes me so happy to do this.
I also have a yearly Christmas Cookie Exchange every that pushes me to decorate early...It usually makes me so sad when the holidays are over and I have to take it all down for another I try to enjoy it as much as I can...How about you?  Are there any traditions you do with your family?  I'd love to get you into the holiday about some tags?
Aren't these cute?  I cannot seem to get enough out of this Cookie Cutter Christmas and Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper.

I think the gingerbread might be my favorite :-)

For this tag I used the Candy Lane DSP and cut out the house right from the paper...

And nothing is Christmas without a Mr. & Mrs. Reindeer

Borderline Buddies Wednesday!

It's another Borderline Buddies Week....and the Online Sales Continues
So being that Leanna was having snow in Canada and we here in the Northeastern Part of Pennsylvania had snow, I thought it only fitting that we celebrate this week with a snowman....when one is given snow.....make snowmen!
Let's see what Leanna has to share this week...
And turn....
I've seen many creations using the SwirlyScribbles Thinlits Dies # 141497
I created the hat using Basic Black Cardstock.
The background paper used was the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper Item #142014 which is currently on the Online Extravaganza Sale
I also used the Sponge Brayers Item # 141714 and Marina Mist Classic Ink to color the paper.

I also added the Metallic Enamel Shapes Item #141678 to the background.
The saying came from the Snow Place Stamp Set Item #139738.

How fun is this card?  So simple.....and cute...I think...

Let's Talk About Color.....

Not all colors are the same....but with Stampin' Up!, you'll never have to worry about that!
So....I'm thinking of doing some craft painting...but house painting....inside...of course.....I'm trying to decide on colors...which I usually have issues with that.....
You head on into the store....all those color chips.....looking....looking....looking....
So you grab one...two...three...four....and take them home....but...then you find out....they don't look the same as they did in the store....DARN IT!
So...back to the store.....and you chose a few more....bring them home....DARN IT!....SAME!
Back to the store again...and this goes back and forth and back and forth....
But...did you know...that Stampin' Up!'s colors....are the same...whether you are purchasing our cardstock, inks, markers, ribbons, accessories.....they all match!
I have to admit that I have the same issues with even clothes...
like red for example....not all reds are the same!
So....I'm heading onto the Stampin' Up! Color Pallet this year to decide which color to paint....
Did you know...that in most home improvement stores, you can take your piece of cardstock and they can actually reproduce the same color in your which is your favorite Stampin' Up! Color?  I's hard to next time you need to find a coordinating color....and just the perfect red...or green for holiday cards and accessories....Stampin' Up! is the answer!
What are your favorite Stampin' Up! colors?  Post below in the comments...maybe you can help me decide......but in the meantime......
We use to sell little cards to match colors together...unfortunately we do not any more...but I found this great website to help you coordinate your colors...whether it is for home decor' or cards...or clothing...whatever....check it out!  I love this site!
Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

Watercolor Paper and Dragonflies...The Perfect Mix!

Did you see the dragonfly posting from the other day?  No?  Well just check out a previous blog post this week...and check it out.....
How about this stunning card?
This card was created by Shelli Gardner from the recent On Stage Event.....are you wondering....
How Did She Do That?
Let me tell you...SUper Simple!
The background CS is Watercolor Paper and all she did was using a few of our new Watercolor Pencils....WHAT?  WHAT?????   Watercolor Pencils?????
Yes...that's right...they are coming the Occasions Catalog....OMG...are you excited?
I am excited...I always loved our Watercolor Pencils...actually I hoarded mine (remember them...they came in a tin?)...the unfortunate part of the previous Watercolor Pencils were that they didn't match our colors...but HELLO...these do!
Okay.....sorry.....I got off track....
So to create this technique.....take multiple like colors and scribble onto your Watercolor Paper (have you used this must!).....You can do as little or as much as you would like closely together. Like this....

Then with our Stampin' Spritzer filled with plain ol' tap water.....spritz the paper with the will kind of bead up and then bleed out....(no cardstock was hurt during this technique)....and it gives you that watercolor sure to set aside and allow to dry...or you can use your heat tool and help it dry quickly....

Let's take another look...shall we?
Interested in trying this technique?  Let's plan a Play Date....and gather together some friends and we can all create this fun card...and learn something new as well!
I'm currently opening dates for in home parties (your place or mine)...or a private class...for you and your friends/family...Contact me today....and let's plan it!
