Basket Bunch Borderline Buddies

Welcome to Borderline Buddies Blog Hop

It's another Wednesday and another Borderline Buddies.

Let's see what Leanna is creating....

Well the snow is melting...and the temperatures are getting warmer.....and looks like spring is finally starting to come around.....sure do hope so!

With spring in the air, makes me think of Easter which is fast approaching.
Soon the bulbs will be sprouting and the spring season will be here....so it also makes me think of bunnies....I did a video on you You Tube Channel showing these cute punch art bunnies.

Be sure to check them out..I'll show you step by step on how to create them.  They are SUper Easy!

The background was stamped with the Cameo Coral on Cameo Coral cardstock...although it's kind of coming through as an orange color, but I reassure you, it's Cameo Coral ....The stamp set I used is from the Occasions Catalog....Basket Bunch....love these little eggs...

The grass was created using our fringe scissors....so fun!
I am so loving these cute punch art bunnies which I created.....
and cannot seem to get enough of them.

Punch Bunny Monday....

Happy Monday!

I had such a busy weekend...I did a craft show on Saturday at a local college and had a great time...although the turn out wasn't huge, it went pretty well.....and I had a fun time...and even got my spot directly by my friend Sandi who had some beautiful wreaths for sale.

I have to admit, I was wiped out after coming home and hauling and unpacking....and actually had a lot of sleep to catch up on....and pretty much that's all that I did the rest of the night.....dozing....and finally gave up and just went to bed...maybe a sign of old age?  Who....me?  lol

But Sunday I had to get to the grocery store....as Tommy kept reminding me that he wasn't liking his food so much and I made a trip to the store for all the basic kitty needs....plus some things for myself as well.  Then with all the melting snow, I haven't had been able to get at my trash and recyclables so was finally able to get to that and get it ready for Tuesday trash day.  Feel so bad for the trash guys as I have a ton for this week......but it is what it is.....

Finally got go my craft room....to be creative...and I so needed craft time.

Let's see something I created.....How about this cute punch bunny?

I did a video on my You Tube Channel...so be sure to head on over there and see how SUper cute and fun these are to make.....and the basic punch used?  What do you think?  Want to guess?

If you said the heart punch, you were correct....

I also used the Wink of Stella Clear over the bunny...but found it was probably better to do the wink of stella before using the maker....as it will run....so just a thought there......My Wink of Stella is a used up one...which I added alcohol too....and it extends the use of the brush!  A little tip there!

This bunny is SUper cute and if you give it a try, be sure to share it as I would like to see yours too!

Have a SUper Stampin' Day!

My homemade soap and how I decorated it...for gift giving....

Hey There!  Happy Monday!

I am back!

Yes....I survived the Blizzard....named Stella.

We had quite a snow storm here last week in Pennsylvania....and finally I am back into stamping...but last week....I didn't give up on crafting....

If you follow me on Facebook, you would have seen a video I did explaining my newest craft....soap making.  While I am brand new to this type of craft, I wanted to give it a try...and I have to say....purchasing a kit was the right step....I didn't get into making any of the cold process soaps as I'm not ready for that step yet...but I did a melt and pour style soap (so it's called).

The kit was from Brambleberry.com...and everything was included.  I am showcasing my second batch of soap here...and how I decorated it for gift giving...so I had to incorporate some of my Stampin' Up! products of course, right?

The soap is amazing...the scent is so inspiring and lovely.....so it needed to be decorated just that way. I used the Serene Scenery DSP along with Pool Party I cut out the butterfly using the Bold Butterfly Framelits (item # 138135).  I also used a retired ribbon from Stampin' Up!, it's a glimmer Pool Party ribbon from last year and I think it adds the perfect touch to this glamorous layered soap.

I love how them came out...and cannot wait to give them to my family members.  I hope they enjoy them as much as I did creating them....total in all to create with this soap kit was 10 soaps total!

So, check on over to my You Tube Channel and see the video I did explaining on how to create this fun soap....just using your microwave!

Hope you enjoyed it!

More Avant Garden.....

Thought I would share with you more Avant Garden....

After stamping this card I almost felt like it looked like a Christmas Poinsettia...I guess it was because of the colors I used.

The colors I used are the Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush.
The centers of the flowers were stamped with Basic Black Archival Ink.

I added the Basic Black Cardstock to the Whisper White stamped piece to bring out the black.

It's a quick share for today...I know we are all busy with our weekends.

Hope you enjoyed it!

Avant Garden

Hello Friday!  Hello Weekend!

It's going to be a busy weekend around here...tonight I am teaching a class using the Beautiful You stamp set along with Watercolor Pencils and our Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack.

If you have any plans, let me know if you would like to attend!

So I was playing around with stamp sets not inked up yet and Avant Garden, one of the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets that you can get for free with a $50 purchase.

I was going through my scraps of cardstock and upcoming retiring In Colors (Tip Top Taupe in this case) and Elegant Eggplant Cardstock with a touch of Basic Black and Whisper White and came up with this card.

I love the simplicity of this card....I added a bit of Whisper White Baker's Twine as well.

Sometimes it's best to go back to the basics and create something simple....not adding a whole bunch of embelishments...just a basic card.

For the flower, I used Old Olive and the Elegant Eggplant ink pads.  I inked up the stem and then inked up the flower...you can also use our markers and color in the stamps but I do think you get a much better coverage using straight from the ink pads.....give it a try...see what you think...

Hope you have a SUper Stampin' Day!

Is Your Garden in Bloom?

Hello Stampers

So...each month I host a swap with my VIP Stampers.  The theme for the month of February was Spring/Flowers.  All you need to do is to sign up to the list, stamp one card and send it to the person below your name....and it's so much fun to receive a hand stamped card in the mail instead of bills and yuck mail.....so this was the card I created for my swap partner for February.

The stamp set I used was Garden in Bloom Item # 139433 in the annual catalog.

The colors I used were Watermelon Wonder, Delightful Dijon, Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaroon and a little Soft Sky.  These colors soon will be retiring when our new annual catalog comes out in July...and then a new color combo of five will be released...so exciting..but if you are loving these colors, you'll want to make sure to stock up on the colors and all their coordinating embellishments before they are gone!  They will sell out quickly once the retired list comes out.

For the background, I used the Basic Black marker and "flecked" on the ink.  Just but using the brush tip of your maker and the cap of the marker, you just kind of fleck on the color onto the cardstock and it gives a splatter look to your card...you can do as little...or as much as you like.

I love this stamp set and I think you'll also want to add this to your collection.

Borderline Buddies - High Tide

Welcome to another Borderline Buddies!

Sorry I missed out last week...but I'm back....Like I had stated on Monday's post, the week kid of got away from me....and well....I seemed to miss out on posting.

So...I promise, what I have to share this week may make up for it....let me know in the comment section below...hopefully I won't disappoint.

Not sure what we are doing this week at BB, but I'm just going to post this fun project I created and hope it's okay with Leanna!

Speaking of Leanna...let's check out what Leanna has to share this week:

So this week...I am focusing on the High Tide Stamp Set....I basically used Whisper White cardstock and some sponges...I used the colors Marina Mist for the water, Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry to sponge.

The lighthouse is actually two separate stamps and I used the Basic Black Archival Ink and then the Cherry Cobbler ink.  For the sand I used the Sahara Sand and Delightful Dijon for the little bit of grassy area.

I also used, although you cannot really see it, the Wink of Stella Clear that I added alcohol to and applied it to the "moon" along with the water the light part of the lighthouse.

Here's another card going another direction, but done pretty much the same.

I love how this card came out....so much, that I made a bunch of them....

Leave a comment below...and I'll pick someone to send one of these beautiful cards to!

Thanks for visiting!

Thankful Life

Welcome to my blog today!

I have a fun card to share with you today.  I had this stamp set, Thankful Life which is a Hostess Only Stamp set in the Occasions Catalog...and I have yet to stamp with it yet....
so I figured it was time to as they say, Ink It Up!

When I first opened the stamp set, I really wasn't sure which way the flowers and greenery went so I decided to just jump on it and I was very pleased with the results.

A few weeks back I focused on a Cut It Use It on our Designer Series Paper, so I dug into my Cut up DSP and used that as part of the background.  The DSP I used was the specialty paper Pop of Pink in the current Annual Catalog....I love these foil fold polka dots..not sure if they really show up well on the picture, but I added a bit of gold ribbon to the end...to bring in the goldness.

Here's another one that I focused on using all the soon to be retiring In Colors, including Watermelon Wonder (which is also the card), Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaroon...all on one card!  :-)

On this card I also used the burlap ribbon.  Where, you ask?  Well, if you take scissors to one end of the burlap and cut off the edge, you can then pretty much peel away the pieces of burlap thus creating a type of linen thread.  That's what I used to tie onto the card.

I hope you enjoyed these cards....also if you would like to have one of these stamp sets, the only way you can get one is by hosting a workshop of $150 or more or placing an order of $150 or more and using your hostess benefits to "purchase" one with your points.

Hoped you enjoyed the cards.....thanks for stopping by!

A Wee Bit of the Green.....

Happy Monday!

Well, I'm back...sorry, but the week just got away from me.....didn't have a chance to post so I apologize...sometimes we just need to step back, get things done and then just get back on the wagon again.....so, after having some "me" crafting time this weekend, I have some fun projects to share....

I usually am creating for some certain and sometimes forget to just create "just because" to have fun...which is why I love Stampin' Up! so much.

So...let me share with you one of my weekend projects...and I'm so thrilled with the way this project came out...and I hope you enjoy it too.

I saw something on Pinterest using this stamp set on Pinterest...and I thought....well isn't this just perfect for St. Patrick's Day....green beer!  lol

I used a wee bit of gold as well along the strip on the side....

I also used Dimensionals to lift up the image along with the little Cheers bubble.

I'm not sure it shows up very well but I also used a bit of Wink of Stella Clear on the foam on the beer...gives it a bit of sparkle to the card.

So....Mixed Drinks....it's in the Annual Catalog and a lot of fun to create all sorts of drinks including lemon/lime pieces along with even an umbrella!  :-)
