Happy Borderline Buddies Day!

Today is the day that my BFF Canadian Friend, Leanna and I challenge each other every week to come up with a certain project, technique, etc.
This week was my week and although I felt it was going to be no problem, gosh....I just totally lost track of time....
My challenge this week was Christmas In July.
Seems like everywhere you look and everything you hear is Christmas in why not stamping too?  Right?
Well, my idea is simple, basic and a CASE I saw on Pinterest....using The Work of Art stamp set.
I think this is one of my "go to" stamps when needing something fun and easy to here's what I have for you today:
Just by taking the "swoosh" stamps, I created the tree.  The trunk was created with the same stamp set and I also used Gorgeous Grunge to make the "ornaments" on the tree.  The star was stamped with the star from the Itty Bitty Punch Group of punches and a bit of bling by adding a rhinestone in the center.   Simple, quick and easy...and a little thinking outside the box.
Now, let's head on up to Canada to see what Leanna has created for us:
Have a super stampin' day!

Happy Sunday and New Monthly Swap Club Idea.....

Hello Stampers

I'm blogging this morning from a different computer, so I'm not able to share any pictures with you...just some light reading.

I had a great get together with some of my downline members yesterday. Everyone brought something to add to our luncheon as well as a project.

It was great fun...we chatted, had lunch, chatted, created fun projects...oh...and we chatted...did I say that already? we do a lot of chatting....we had a lot of great ideas flowing around the table.

As many of you know, I host a monthly card swap with a theme for each month.  It at times has been difficult to get together to swap, sometimes stampers don't have enough supplies to create multiples of one card or project and sometimes live gets in the way that we don't have sufficient time to create our themed I had an idea...something that I hope you will like...maybe some of you will not.,,,,but here goes:

I am going to create a Facebook account for Stampin' Sue's Monthly Card Swap.  Anyone can join...that's the fun of it,,,and all you need to do is create one of the monthly projects, take a picture of it and then post it on Facebook....if you have problems doing that, just let me know and I can post your project for you....I figured in this day of social media, we will be able to get stampers from all over the world (yup..we are going global for this one) to participate in this monthly swap...that is a win/win situation for everyone in that you will get a lot of more ideas to be creative.  All I ask is that you incorporate Stampin' Up! supplies.  You can use retired long as they are Stampin' Up!

So...who is in?  I even thought we could vote on the postings and someone will win something a handstamped card from me (if that's okay)..maybe in the future we can venture off onto small little prizes....lets's give this a try and see how it goes.....

Are you in?

I hope you like this idea...I'll be gatherine up the monthly ideas starting for August...they will be due on the 15th of each month to be posted online....and more details to can participate in each month or not....just post or don't post....I'll get working on this fun new idea and hope you are as excited about it as I am...please feel free to pass this information along to other Stampin' Up! friends....the more the merrier!

Have a Super Stampin' Day!

Saturday - final convention day

Happy Saturday Friends

Today is the wrap of this year's convention in Salt Lake City, Utah....while I have enjoyed seeing all the great sharing ideas, photos and all the excitement through photos, it's just not the same as being there.  I'm looking forward to today's final live stream from's always a great end to a great few days....usually with a few bombs of information as well.

I just want to thank everyone who attended for sharing your through you has made it so exciting.

I also want to thank Stampin' Up! for doing the live streams..what a great way to feel the excitement, see all the happy faces with the give aways and not to mention getting a peak at the new products.  What a thrill it has been for me and I'm sure other demonstrators nationwide.

Just want to wish all my convention friends a safe trip back home to their families and Stampin' lives that await them anxiously.....

Friday Sharing....what I was gonna post on Wednesday

Yup....Friday..woo hoo!

As you may or may not know, I always do my blog postings on a weekend for the week...and sometimes it doesn't happen, but I try....the weekends...always a different story...if I get a chance, I post...but these days my life has been pretty hectic...with my daughter and grandson moving back in with me....but that's what family is all about.

So....this is the posting I didn't post for Borderline Buddies on Wednesday..this was my first attempt at a bag, tag/gift giving idea.....

I was using the linen bags that we sell as well as the tag kit in the new catalog.

I was also using a new stamp set that I just received for choice...FREE from Stampin' Up!....dont'cha love FREE?
The polka dots were created on the bag using a new stencil SU has available. It comes in a set of two and they are really has the circles and lines...and the other one has stars and hearts.
I filled a Stampin' Spritzer 3/4 with alcohol and used a reinker to color the alcohol..  Put the stencil on top of the linen bag and spritzed away....that created the faint polka dots (I had wanted them to be darker but didn't seem to get that affect...didn't want to spritz anymore so that it ruined the dots design).

I used the candy dots on the tag.

And it's ready to fill with your favorite goodies.....chocolate?  YUM.
Have a super Stampin' Day!
